Maybe it's me, but Lawrence doesn't seem right for Oh, Mary!

Saw Jane last night and definitely worth the second visit. I forgot some of the punch lines and this cast delivered on the laughs and hilarity. Concur that John Andrew as the best Lincoln. Julian stood in for Cheyanne and was very good. It seemed like Jane made him break a couple times, so that was great.
I was surprised that a lot of the audience seemed like it was their first time watching it. I assumed there would be more repeat attendees (like me). I'm glad the new castings seem to bring in new people to this delightful show.

If anyone is looking to see Oh, Mary from January to April of next year I highly recommend buying tickets now before the next Mary is announced, the casting is going to cause people to freak out

NDA...Renee? As in Zellwegger?
I doubt she'd do it but Renee Fleming would be a great Mary's Chaperone.

These are all the names I could think of, although some are obviously unlikey:
Tina Fey would make me go back again. She's at the top of my list to play the role. Mindy K. would, too, but not sure she could handle the role.

I guess people didn;t get the NDA joke as in non-disclosure agreement. I can confirm though that it is none of the people on that list, it is someone that hasn't been on broadway in about a decade though...

Total shot in the dark, but maybe our next Mary is Donna Murphy? The first two names Cole ever mentioned before replacements ever came to fruition were Tituss & Donna. It's been a decade since she last been on Broadway with Hello, Dolly, so that tracks. Plus, the show has proven to be a hit without a star name, so they might feel comfortable enough to let her lead it, especially if they cast more starry names around her.
Maybe I'm crazy, but it would make the theatre community go crazy, while pulling from other bases if they cast it right.
She follows the Oh, Mary Insta account, though they don't follow her.
Who knows! Thought I'd throw my prediction in there.
I know JCM had been rumored/in the mix for casting previously, so that's not that out there of an idea.
I know that the upcoming award season makes a January-April run unlikely, but I'll throw Emma Stone out there as a possibility. It's been ten years since Cabaret. Her status has obviously risen quite a bit since then so she may not be interested in being a replacement again though.
I would love an older Mary. How about Kim Cattrall?

Emma Stone said recently she wasn't sure if she'd ever do Broadway again because of how hard Cabaret was for her
But then again, given her shift towards absurdity comedy that she's had in her collaborations with Yorgos Lanthimos, maybe a limited run in something like Oh, Mary! could be what brings her back.

I'm still in DC and toured Ford's Theatre this afternoon. It seems like many of the things presented in this play are not historically accurate. The guide said that Lincoln & Booth were not likely homosexual FWB's.
Nonsense, we all know Lincoln loved Booth's tight ass.
Jinkx Monsoon will return to the show from January 8 - February 1.

Awesome. Now we wait to hear about a new Mary starting in February.
Even though the show proved they can continue to almost sell out with no “name” in the title role, it’s smart of them to get Jinkx back for those few slow tourist weeks, to ensure box office stays at the top.

isn't Tony Macht supposed to be back by now? Martin Landry is still listed as Mary's Husband's Assistant.
