I also saw an image of the electronic cast board (sorry, I don't know how to post the image here), which listed Kathy Voytko as playing the part of Marian Paroo. The other two cast changes from last night are still there, too.
Please try and refrain from further comparisons to Dolly-apples to oranges. Dolly is a star driven musical, TMM is more an ensemble piece certainly with a charismatic lead who can bring his own take to the swindler/con man/romantic fella 'that he chooses. This one chooses to be a dancin' one to show off his extra talent. It seems there is so much joy and energy coming over the footlights and maybe with some pruning over the weeks ahead they will all still retain their energy and not be all shi[poopeed].

Btw, would love to see Kathy as Marian...I noticed $279 seats available Christmas Saturday - Tuesday seems like a new release and I guess dark tomorrow Friday

Fourth preview and they already have 3 u/s going on. How soon before they're throwing Max Clayton on in different tracks? Or one of their asst. choreographers?

Sorry, that distinction without a difference is not supported by the history of both shows. They're both classic star vehicles in the American musical theater canon, having attracted stars above the title in first class productions, tours, and summer theaters. (Review those who toured -- from Dan Dailey to Forrest Tucker -- who I saw as a kid -- to Dick Van Dyke to Tony Randall -- a terrible Hill who sold tickets on the road.) Asking us not to compare them may serve the moment's debate about Rudin's thumbprints but these revivals exist because stars are attracted to them. Yes, there are exceptions -- Bierko succeeded in overriding the vehicle distinction, because the sense at the time was the show might create new stars. That didn't really sustain and as soon as he left the producers sought a popular-in-the-moment television star as a first replacement. Who decidedly sold tickets. More critically: This production wouldn't exist without Jackman, which is more or less supported by everything from the pricing to the discussions here. Both shows are about vintage Americana, both invite nostalgia about the eras they represent as well as the eras in which they were written, and both still require above the title stars to run on Broadway.

What a class act. That man is salt of the earth. And he’s absolutely right. God bless all the swings and standbys.

Yes I watched tonight. The swing seemed completely on point. Before the show the director made an announcement saying Sutton couldn’t come on tonight but didn’t want to cancel the show but to be understanding if something went wrong… but nothing seemed to go wrong! Only things I noticed, keep in mind though this was my first time seeing this show, was they cut a song in the 2nd act (although not one Voytko would’ve been in, but rather one where two understudies were in for the usual singers) and Voytko and Jackman did very little movement in their scenes. Generally Voytko wasn’t dancing much. Jackman and Voytko had good chemistry though. Excellent performance especially for having only rehearsed once!

If she's COVID positive, Hugh is more or less going to have to dodge a bullet in order to stay uninfected.

I was thinking the same thing.
