this is so awesome! I hope the weather gets warmer sometime soon for your sake and mine! also i am so glad about the glasses and mark scarf. It is a shame that the coat couldn't make into the movie as well but what can you do. enjoy filming!

Ah, the scarf! It seems so long ago that people were fighting over how they better get some of the original costums in there in some form. Nice to see it happening.
Stay Warm!

Word to the subject title. I salute you for being willing to work outside in this weather. And thanks so much for keeping us updated, especially with all us rabid fans freaking out about details like Adam's hair and your scarf.
This is completely off-topic, but much props to whoever dyed your hair for Adventures in Babysitting. I was watching a few weeks ago (um, yeah, I own it on DVD) and never would have guessed it wasn't natural.

I said I wouldn't do this, but I couldn't help it. I'm rather excited about the movie, and reading Anthony's post, I had to.
So thanks Anthony for the updates. The sheer thought of the movie is becoming increasingly exciting. First day of shooting... wow, must be a thrill since in my opinion this is the role you were born to play. And the scarf part "(Had I mentioned that was in the movie?)", cute Anthony. Very adorable.
And if any song from NYTW should be in there, it should be He Says. That's a great song for Mark/Roger. Just my opinion.

Thanks for the update, Anthony! That's awesome that everything's going well. And the scarf! *clap* Definitely very very cold today. Anyway, best of luck to you and hopefully we'll hear from you again soon!

The choosing was not...

I've been lurking on this thread for forever and I'd thought to finally say hi...this is only because I was down in the village today and Anthony walked past me...so I feel obligated to join in for one time
I'm so mad that I missed you doing my fav song What you own, this morning..but I got over it and I got to see what was going on and I got a nice picture with Idina and Adam :P
Anthony-best of luck with the rest of filming and I'm glad you guys are having fun and I hope this film comes out the way you want it to
thanks for the updates, Idina's fans love it (she never lets us know anything)
Cheers for the first day of filming!! My friend and I silently toasted to it with our cups of hot cocoa this morning. :-P And despite the extreme cold I'm glad to hear that you guys are all having a blast. Best wishes! -Mika
PS. Hooray for the return of the striped scarf!!

It wouldn't have been the same without the scarf at least. Yay!
Keep warm and continue to have loads of fun.

If the plaid jacket was taken out due to bad effects on the camera, does that mean Roger's plaid pants are also not going to be in the movie? Just curious. :-P

That totally rocks that the scarf has it's own scene. WOO HOO!!! Hey, here is an idea for a last mintue ad lib for the movie. When you see the scarf, you should say, "I need to have this scarf, no matter how much it costs. It reminds me of my uncle Spider." Ya know.....just a suggestion.

Lael, have you got a start on making my mark skarf? Oh, right, school..... I Love the skarf!!!! Plus the other day, I was looking for Roger pants. I was not sucessfull ! I can't wait for the skarf.... Oh, and Anthony, if I could, I would send you a heater and a cup of hot chocolate, but I live in cali. Sorry.

If the musical is big, maybe they will start a line of clothing in the style of RENT like Fredricks of Hollywood did with their Chicago collection. I want a scarf and shirt like Mark.

There will be a loud uproar if there is no Roger pants.
The plaid in the pants is less flashy than on Mark's coat though, so hopefully they can pull it off. RENT isn't RENT without the Roger pants! ^_~
I went around school dancing and singing about RENt filming today... and resisted the temptation to drive to NYC. Too long of a drive... Chicago to NYC has to be anywhere from 17-24 hours.
I'm *very* happy to hear that there's now a bridge between What You Own and the discovery of Mimi, with shots of you and the gang actually searching for her. This may just be my most awaited film of 2005 in spite of my skepticism over past choices. I hope it turns out great and gets nominated for tons of awards. :)
A friend wants me to ask... how much is Chris Columbus planning on playing up the specific years in which the events take place? We thought one line in "Today 4 U" was a bit anachronistic if the film still takes place in the '80s (it references a film released in 1991) but weren't sure if it would still be in there, whether the film is somewhere between period and contemporary (like The Royal Tenenbaums), etc.
haha yeah the Roger pants have grown on me, I must admit. :-P Since you are bringing back the scarf, glasses, haircut etc for Mark does that mean that you guys will be bringing back some of the other original costumes from the stage production?
