You all are literally like the only people who I can share my Broadway interests with ! I don't know if it's just me but I would love to form friendships outside of this board . Anyone care to list what states they live in ? You never know your newest pal could be local . I'm in NC
Sarasota, Florida and Cape Cod (summer). Get to NYC three timers a year and see about 20 shows. So, have to be choosy as to what I see (even if I don't always choose the right show).
My home is in Oklahoma (Tulsa area), but I work as a consultant. Currently on assignment in Huntsville AL, but most recently was in Sacramento, Phoenix, and Boston. Make at least a half dozen trips to NYC.
Born and raised at the Jersey shore. Lived in NYC for most of my adult life, but have been in Philadelphia for the past 2.5 years.
"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe."
-John Guare, Landscape of the Body
I live . . . too far from Broadway! :) I'm in San Francisco. Actually, Daly City, but few know where that is (right next to SF's southern border) so easier to say San Francisco.
Years ago a group of us locals from "that other board" met for a couple shows and it was great fun to meet the posters and geek out, since none of my friends are as interested in theater as me. I don't know if they still get together as I don't visit that site much anymore.
Aha! I'd thought "DC" meant you were maybe a transplant the other DC and not that you were from the home of Karl the Fog and delicious Filipino food. :)

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
