Rosie will be playing Mrs. Brice not Fanny Brice. "
I saw that! How soon before Rosie breaks the fourth wall?
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
The comments on stars in the house really excited me. That would make two major revivals reopening Broadway with the Music Man and Funny Girl Playing. That would be pretty great. I’m really so curious who they would get. Though imo GAGA seems to be the front runner with names like Lea Michele (I think for me it’s become a thing I just want to see) or Idina (which I don’t know if that would happen). Though not a “Hollywood” name Jesse M. I hope they don’t just cast a name that can’t really sing the score or carry that show.
And then I would if someone like Brian stoke Mitchell or norm Lewis. Or Victor Garbor would be added to the cast.

This is a show I would actually almost prefer to see some fresh talent. A solid new actress in a starring role and garners praise. I always loved Broadway stories like that. I am a fan of Idina, but is she cut out for this? She certainly isn’t the normal age, but I’d be willing to look past it for a voice that can handle the demands of this shows score. I hope if this happens one day she surprises me.

Naw...that's just the new catch phrase...replacing "when hell freezes over"!
Him: Will you marry me? Other him: when Broadway re-opens.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
Though Rosie said she doesn't expect this or Broadway to [re]open until Fall 2021 or until there's a vaccine.

Who's producing? Until you can answer that question, take it all with a Rosie grain of salt. And saying late 2021 gives her a whole year of playing this out. We'll see what's what, but...

Was just discussing the same thing with a friend. And I think this would be a great show to introduce a new talent in the leading role.

Gaga will NOT be starring in this show on Broadway. She is touring next summer for her new album, I don't seriously that they will close a Broadway show down because its star is doing her other job that she has. Rosie is a blowhard and is dying to be back in the spotlight, so she will say anything. It sounds like a good idea in theory, but not in reality...

Lady Gaga in a Broadway show also makes no sense because no way would her health allow her to commit to 8 shows a week. She had fibromyalgia and her Chromatica Ball tour is 6 dates from July 25th to August 27th next year. The reason she began her Vegas residency was to lessen the time she would be performing onstage. I sadly don’t see her performing on Broadway at any time in the foreseeable future (though i still would love to hear her sing the score of Evita someday)
