I fully admit and own being in the minority with my feelings on the chorus at the end and NPH's casting, and I realize that for many people neither of things are "dealbreakers" when it comes to seeing the show (in fact, I'm sure these things would actually delight more people than disappoint people). However, for me, personally, I just have no interest in seeing NPH play The Baker or in seeing a large chorus take the stage at the end. Those two things were enough to squash my desire see and excitement about this production. I know not everyone understands that, but that's just me. I still look forward to reading others' thoughts and opinions, though, and I'm sure many people will really enjoy this concert production!

Very much this. It reminds me a bit of the Sondheim 80th birthday concert when swings joined the finale performance of “Sunday” along the aisles…there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
So NYCC has jumped on the dynamic pricing bandwagon as well. Sigh. Now any remaining tickets are $275. And these are not the beige make a $2500 donation to the President's council for access seats.

Considering basically all their recent shows have been major financial failures and the organization is coming out of the pandemic, this seems like a financially wise thing to do. The demand is obviously there. Being a nonprofit doesn't exempt you from earning money. I have no doubt that the majority of City Center offerings will continue having plenty of seats well under $60 and not-full houses. Showbiz.
In terms of interest to the non-theatre-lovers public, Bareilles and Harris make this the most famous cast for a main-season Encores show in a long time, maybe ever?
Holy Crap, well I had to suffer through the first two so I guess people should pay crazy prices for this but jeez I just bought the cheapest seats as usual at the box office when they went on sale.
the longer Into the Woods exists, the better the performances we are going to get from Broadway people in new productions of it.
cause now people study this score, work tirelessly to nail On the Steps of the Palace. It’s so beloved by the theatre community everyone wants to have their chance to show they can rise to it.

Wow.
yeah people who gave up their tickets cause of a chorus of kids- your loss. This is gonna be great."
I appreciate your concern, but I’m still good with my decision to see something else with my limited show slots while I’m in town. I hope everyone going to this enjoys, but as I said, I, personally, lost interesest with the casting change for the baker and chorus announcement. I don't know why I felt the need to explain myself anyways. It's my money, my time, and my ticket.

I'm really hoping the addition of NPH means we get a cast recording or that they release a live album. He and Sara are big enough stars to justify SOMEONE recording this thing. Really I just need Heather Headley's "Stay With Me" on the record. If Doogie Howser is what gets it for me I won't be mad.

For those with better ears, is she doing this in the original key? It sounds lowered. It doesn’t matter because she sounds divine and is clearly going to act the shiz out of it, just curious.
I have two seats (Balc C116 and C117) for Sun 5/8 at 7:00pm... looking to swap for either performance on Sat 5/7. Email me at trevormpierce92@gmail.com if you're interested!
Man I just finished booking my trip details for NY next weekend and I've been checking the website religiously with no luck. Really hoping a couple tickets pop up so I can catch this INCREDIBLE cast. I'd give my right arm to see Heather as the witch.

There are plenty of seats available on StubHub if you are willing to spend around $400. I assume you would place a much higher value on your right arm, so from that perspective perhaps it's a bargain
