How f**king stupid do you have to be to not go to the microphone that the presenters just announced your win at?

"It's so hard for a camera to catch EVERYTHING that's going on in Pippin... Loved it!!"
That's what rehearsal is for! You don't stage something you can't film.

I think they went to the wrong mic accidentally.

That was terrible to cut them off like that
they went where they were TOLD to go. The winners didn't screw up.
It was stated that producers would be to the side (due to the number).
Wow, that was just rude for all those people up there for Virginia Woolf.
Jake Gylly and Cyndi Lauper together? Every queen just exploded.
pfizer should have sponsored the TOnys when N2N was running.
The "sound issues" were the producers' of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf's fault. The people accepting the award are supposed to go to the center microphone where Mayor Bloomberg and Sigourney Weaver announced their win and anyone else is supposed to stay where the accepted the award.
Thanks Mike Bloomberg for turning Times Square into a theme park, and putting a Duane Reade on every corner in NYC. Broadway's biggest fan! Woo!

Dramamama, how exactly do you know that? Are you stage managing the show?
I need an 8x10 of Gyllenhaal in his tux.
broadwaydevil is correct. The producers are told exactly where to go in the commercial break directly before their award is announced.
Lead producers/playwright go to the center. Other producers go to the side to get their camera shot. It's the same as last year just in a different venue.

Who is this Xeljanz commercial for exactly?
I do hope Bloomberg gets announced as "Tony award winner" when he's introduced at future events. It would be comical if it weren't so sad.
In all fairness Times Sqaure was a theme park to start.
Kinky Boots - 4
Cinderella - 1
Pippin - 2
Matilda - 4
Woolf - 2
Nance - 3
Assembled Parties - 1
Lucky Guy - 2
As of now
I need a 9" of Gyllenhaal without his tux.
Ooops on my part....I think bway devil was correct and I remembered incorrectly.

Please. It's an awards show. People get cut off all the time. Bottom line.. it's gotta get off on time (or reasonably close). 99.9999% of the viewers watching at home don't want to hear some lady they've never heard of or seen before ramble on longer than her allotted 75 seconds. That's showbusiness. Let's go.. on with the show...
Well quite a few shows will be able to change their marquees to say "TONY WINNER" so that's good.
