I don't know this show.. but it's hard to follow. I looks like the SNL music set with the cast of Leap of Faith.

Laura will get her TONY in 2015 for "Sound of Music". You've heard it here first people…

By the way, this Kinky Boots performance is coming off GREAT!

Zzzzzzz

"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022) "Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009) "Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000

Haven't seen the show, but . . . hate to say it, but I'd rather not after seeing this number.

I think this song is less the lyrics and more the music and staging.

"Did anyone else catch Laura's immediate reaction? She looked very disappointed and shocked."

She was probably expecting to win the Tony after her victory at the Drama Desk Awards last month. But before Patina walked on stage Laura did smile and clap. I don't think Laura holds any grudge against Patina at all.

I thought that was kinda a mess. Mainly, again, due to the camera work. It seems like they have no idea how to film these numbers, particularly the big, dance-heavy, ensemble ones. Stop with the messy, weird, close-ups! Give us wide shots!!!

And I liked KINKY BOOTS quite a bit!

The Kinky Boots number was so fabulous in the theater; didn't translate so well on TV.

The only one I thought was really good tonight was Cinderella.

The only way they film hear numbers is to go back and forth across the stage over and over and over again. Just set the camera down and film the number!!!

Kinky should have done Land of Lola or Sex is in the Heel. Loved their "View" performance but not as much this one.

The best show performances so far have been Cinderella and Pippin, in my opinion.

And Kinky Boots? Ehhhh...

I don't think Laura was upset I think it was a "Woo okay, I can stop worrying". Like I said, 2015…SOM.
