Okay a ton of people always say each year that they "won't have time" to have the not nominated for best musical shows to perform......guys its a THREE hour program and even though in the past shows that didn't get the nom and didn't perform (Footloose-1999, or Legally Blonde-2007) for awhile now they've been giving ALL of the shows nominated or not a chance to perform....If a show has closed then thats one thing because its hard to get the cast back together (though they've done it before like with Spring Awakening last year or Ragtime back in 2010) but if a show is still RUNNING then having them perform is a great way to advertise the show.....to name a few On Your Feet (2016), Bullets Over Broadway (2014), The Little Mermaid (200
, Motown (2013), Gigi (2015), and many more have performed with NO best musical nom...even shows that had ZERO noms have still performed like Finding Neverland and It Shoulda Been You in 2015. I personally think that every show will perform this year....yes its super crowded but I would be SHOCKED to not see Cats, Anastasia, War Paint, Charlie, Sunset, Bronx Tale, and Amelie (if its still open) to perform
