definitely the entire cast of spring awakening, bar none.
seriously the sweetest group of actors i have ever met. especially lea michele, jonathan groff, and specifically john gallagher jr, who talked to me for 20 minutes and offered me his gloves because my hands were numb and purple from the weather, haha. i love them dearly.
seriously, SA cast-- best cast ever. !
hear my song; it was made for the time when you don't know where to go, listen to the song that i sing, you'll be fine..
First on the list: All 4 Jersey Boys and the supporting Cast members of the show. I have always said they are the nicest guys on Broadway! Second, I would have to say the cast of Les Mis. Especially Daphne and Norm Lewis, Celia and of course Alex.
The "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" cast (especially Greg Jbara) was a very nice group of people. The "Sweeney Todd" revival cast was very fun and intelligent. It was nice to engage in conversation with a few of them.

Everyone at Jersey Boys and when I went to see Les Miserables two weeks ago the whole cast was so nice, especially Alex and Norm, and Beth Leavel after Drowsy was really nice.
definitely the entire cast of spring awakening, bar none.

I wholeheartedly concur I think John and Jon MAY just be some of the sweetest people I've ever met. You dont even NEED to talk to them for a long amount of time.. they just... make you feel good because they're so warm and friendly and everything Though I AM determined to actually make conversation with them next time I go since they ARE so incredibly easy/fun to talk to and last time I was just kind of all "omg thank you so much, it was amazing!" lame, I know.
sorry, this is a bit of a threadjack, so /threadjack :P
I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.

I can't say that the WHOLE cast of SA was nicest at stage door, but the following were: Lea Michele, Lauren Pritchard, Jon Wright, Brian Charles Johnson, Skylar Astin, Johnny Gallagher and Jon Groff...these 7 stood out as being some of the sweetest and most sincere...you should have seen how excited Skylar was to come back around after aready seeing everyone just to tell us all the Jerry Seinfeld was behind us in his car!

Granted I met a lot of these people in Boston where no one goes to the stagedoor, but shh!
Freckles1329: Nellie McKay!? As in ThreePenny stagedoor, right? Ugh, you lucky, lucky person! What was meeting her like? I loved ThreePenny and I'm a big fan of her music.
If you saw her through ThreePenny--did you see Cyndi, and if so how was she?
Edit: And as for me... Mayumi Ando (Such a sweetie!) Hunter Bell Susan Blackwell (Also recognized me!) Heidi Blickenstaff (Recognized me the second time I saw [tos]!) Donna Lynne Champlin
As for men: Michael Cerveris Manoel Feliciano (Gah! Spelling?) Tim Howar
I was not terribly impressed with Martin Short.

I haven't a had a ton of great stage door experiences, including Spamalot (original cast), Drowsy Chaperone and each of the many times I saw Sweeney Todd. The best though hands down was Ron Eldard and Eileen Atkins while they were in Doubt. In June of last year I had a decent 5-10 minute conversation with them about the show at the stage door. Granted this may have been because I was the only one there but they both took the time to discuss the play with me and what I thought of it. Both are true class acts and I would jump at the chance to see either one of them in their respective productions.
I would definitely have to say Sutton Foster was the nicest and seemingly most sincere. Others who I have had exceptional experiences with include Philip Bosco, Emily Skinner, Danny Burstein, Doug Sills.
My favorite though? The security guard at Jersey Boys. He was so friendly and kind, which I hardly ever see with security guards at the stage door anymore.
The one that loves the most...is at the mercy of the one that loves the least.
The Dirty Rotten Scoundrels cast... those few that I've met, Greg Jbara, Norbert Leo Butz, Andrew Asnes, Jack (Greg's Dresser).
The four Jersey Boys.
All of the SA cast... but esp. John Gallagher Jr. and Jonathan Groff.
Les Miserables cast. Pretty much everyone I met was nice.

Anyhow, as you know: Norm Lewis Daphne Rubin-Vega Gary Beach
As you don't know: John Gallagher Jr. Lea Michele Stephanie J. Block Katie Adams (former standby Glinda) Lori Anne Ferreri (sp... Standby Nessrose) Jenn Gambatese (OMG nicest person. Ever. Bottom line.)

Those top my list but I've had very few bad stage door experiences, minus spastic fans who give the actors good reason to act as they sometimes may.
I was fortunate enough to have conversations with Dame Helen Mirren, Dame Eileen Atkins, Cherry Jones, Julianne Moore, Bill Nighy, Ron Eldard, Adriane Lenox, Ethan Hawke, Parker Posey, Peter Gallagher, Jeff Goldblum, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Mary Bond Davis, Greg Jbara, Neil Patrick Harris, Stephanie D'Abruzzo, John Tartaglia, and Mary Bond Davis. All very nice, down-to-earth people.
