anything by Frank Wildhorn (Dracula, Scarlet Pimpernel, Jeckyl and Hyde, The Civil War...) Its's as if he wrote each one as a draft in one afternoon....terrible music/unforgivable lyrics.
Blood Brothers, I wanted to kill every single person on that stage, F**k I hated it more than any other single thing I have seen.
reNt, a very close second
Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist.
Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino.
This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more.

Cats-longest night I've ever spent at the theatre, I half wonder if I saw it again now I'm older and (supposedly) wiser I'd 'appreciate' it more but I doubt it.
I also have an irrational hatred for 'Little Shop of Horrors'
Maybe I'm on nobody's side

A couple of the worst I've seen had to do with the production. For example, I enjoyed Big and Seussical on Broadway, but the tours were horrendous. As far as original productions:
Closer to Heaven Thou Shalt Not Spring Awakening The Civil War (tryout)

Something Funny Happened on the Way to the Forum A little Night Music Gypsy Company Sweeney Todd Into The Woods Sunday in the Park with George Follies Passion Assassins Pacific Overdures Anyone Can Whistle
For no other reason to cause 'ire' with the Sondheim fans, as I know it is sacrilege to say anything bad about the great man. do I hear a Waltz was great.
Only kidding, please stop sending me all the hateful personal messages. Updated On: 3/21/11 at 10:26 AM
I wouldn't sit through any of these shows again: 1)A Catered Affair 2)Chess 3)Not Wanted on the Voyage 4)Tarzan 5)The Addams Family 6)Dangerous Beauty 7)The Sweet Smell of Success Joseph 9)The Little Mermaid 10)LoveMusik 11)The Secret Garden
I hated the Lion King because it was just the movie onstage with more songs, most of which were terrible. Also, I felt the overelaborate costumes made it more difficult for me to connect with the actors onstage.
I'm curious about all of the Blood Brothers hate, myself. Anyone want to give their reasons for disliking the show? Just curious.
Jimmy, what are you doing here in the middle of the night? It's almost 9 PM!
NICK & NORA, the absolutely worst musical I have seen in 61 years of theatre-going. Boring beyond belief, the audience simply didn't care "who done it". The acting did not save the day, nor did the score. Arthur Laurents the author did not have a sufficient dialogue wih Arthur Laurents the director, and therein lay the major problem. What a waste!
It is amazing to me that as musical theater fans there is so much "hate" directed as any show.
There are certainly productions of certain shows that have made me cringe. But, there are so few shows that I felt wasted my time. There are certain shows I am glad I saw once, but have worn thin on repeat performances.
I don't care if I never see another performance of Camelot or Oklahoma!, but I can't say I hate them.
The worst musical I have seen is Ashman & Menken's "God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater." A close second is "Gilligan's Island: The Musical." I saw it with a very talented professional cast, which made it bearable. I can't imagine a community theater production.
