Go and enjoy this wonderful cast, people! I was delighted to attend the closing show at City Center, and very glad I got to see Neil Patrick Harris, even if we were initally down about Christian Borle not being in the cast. LOVED Heather Headley as the Witch, and I think Patina Miller will be fantastic in the role as well - she was amazing in Pippin. Though Josh Henry is an amazing performer, I'm a little sorry that they are losing Jordan Donica - it was my first time seeing him onstage and he was wonderful as Rapunzel's prince. Anyhoo, it you are an ITW fan, do get tickets. It's a wonderful production and such a strong company - happy to hear it is transferring and wondering if they will beef up the sets at all for the run at the St. James?

Lord how I hate Seat Geek -- you can't just see what is available in each section - you have to keep referring to the side bar."
7/10 is opening night, which is when I'm going as well, but, in all the excitement, I kept finding better seats, and now I have 3. I hate when that happens!
I had to purchase on mobile and got N16 Orchestra. I’m assuming that’s an aisle seat, though the seating charts I can find suggest only 15 seats in that row. There was no indication that it’s an accessible location. Any insights on that?

Unfortunately, it doesn't sound like it—here's Jordan Roth's quote from the NYT article:
Jordan Roth said that the physical production would be the same as at City Center, with an onstage orchestra and minimal sets and costumes. “The simplicity and poetry of this production delivered this story right to our hearts,” he said.
If it's truly only 8 weeks they need to keep costs down, I guess.
Tickets secured!! I’m so happy they’re doing this. But I have to say, SeatGeek is absolute garbage.

N16 is directly in the middle of the row. The seats are even numbers only in right orchestra (and odd only in left orchestra). The 15 seats in the row range from seat 2 to seat 30.

There are only 15 seats. But they're even numbers only, N2-N30. So N16 is right in the middle of the house right section, not an aisle seat and definitely not an accessible one.

It’s really wild that with other ticketing platforms that are SO better than TicketMaster, Jujamcyn went with a site that was founded on reselling like StubHub and is absolute trash. It’d be great if theater owners would set their egos aside and utilize TodayTix in that way. UI and customer experience is so streamlined.
I constantly see complaints about seat geek but both on the website and in the app, if you zoom in far enough, you can see exactly what seats are available and what you are purchasing. I find it just as easy, if not easier, than telecharge and Ticketmaster.

I agree. Ive been trying to talk to support for an hour about exchanging a ticket and its like rocket science.

I really enjoyed this production when I saw this at New York City Center a couple of weeks ago. I just had to see this again with the new cast. I was able to snag an aisle row A balcony seat for $99. So I'm happy. Fees were $11.04. The performance I chose was Sunday July 10th. Anyone know why that performance is at 6:30 PM while all the other Sunday performances start at 3:00 PM?

That is the opening night performance!
I was just listening to the OBC album and burst into tears when Bernadette started singing "Children Will Listen," with the tragedy in Texas on my mind.

Surely they will hire additional swings?

Thanks ElephantLoveMedley. I did not know that. I chose that date because I will be in NYC for BroadwayCon and wanted a show on Sunday to fill out my weekend. So it worked out really nice timing wise with the final day of BroadwayCon. The fact that it's opening night makes it even better.
I had no idea it was opening night when I grabbed our tix! I didn't have a lot of time to think! I wonder why it was so easy to get tix for it right from the get go!
I don't remember the last time I was this excited to see a show! I was so bummed that I couldn't make it to City Center for this show earlier this month. I followed the other thread on this discussion board and you guys are great with your insider information and enjoyable comments! I got my ticket for August 7, and I can't wait! I tried to get my ticket for July 31 and a pop-up said that Creel wasn't going to be in the show for that performance. Is that a new feature? I don't think I've seen anything like that in the past and it's a nice feature. Better yet, I thought I was going to have to sell a kidney to get a ticket, but I got a great seat towards the back of the orchestra and it didn't break the bank! I'm going to glow for the rest of the day, and maybe through the holiday weekend, lol!!

I'm debating grabbing tickets for closing, too. (Then it would my first opening night AND first closing night on Bway, and I've been seeing shows since the late 70s!)

Very exciting news, though it’s a shame to lose Ann Harada as well. I’m just glad Sara and Gavin are still in it. Doesn’t matter how early the show closes, I can’t imagine those two not being up for Tonys.
On the topic, Julia Lester and Kennedy Kanagawa were both giving deserving performances, though their respective showcases would make recognition a bit more uncertain. David Patrick Kelly with some refinement would also be deserving, though I don’t know which category they’d put him in, I’d think lead.
Since I saw it at City Center a few times I just got a Wednesday matinee ticket in the balcony on the isle for $39.00. Just curious to see the replacements, Agree it is a perfect fit for Bryan.
I do hope it doesn’t end up on TDF however..l.

Thanks for the reminder - I thought of that and tried zooming - but didn't zoom in far enough. Sigh, silly me!

It looks like Gavin Creel will not be performing from Sunday, July 24 through Friday, August 5.

dramamama611, you and I are on the same wavelength. I went ahead and bought a ticket for the final performance on 8/21. Same seat. I figured if this sells well, it will be more difficult to get a ticket later on to the final performance than to sell the one I have if I decide not to use it.
