March 15.
“The Inheritance” is ending its Broadway run on March 15, producers Tom Kirdahy, Sonia Friedman Productions and Hunter Arnold announced Thursday evening.”

So upset. That's my birthday and we are going to NY the following weekend and had planned to see this. We couldn't go on my birthday because we promised young nieces and nephews we would take them to Busch Gardens on opening weekend this year, and they didn't forget.
When are understudies going on?
I want to see understudies.

so upset...will be in the city March 17 and had my tickets for the 20th and 21st!
We all knew it was coming and dammit I'm still sad
Sad to hear it. I had mixed feelings about the show, but it’s certainly ambitious, and it’s a always shame to see a financial risk on ambitious theatre not pay off.
I guess this means Hickey won’t be returning, which is a shame.
This sucks, I am not the target audience for this but I found it stunning. I don't know if this was any different in London, but it's unfortunate this just didn't work over here.
Can something sneak into the Barrymore for a quick preview period before the Tony cutoff? This show won’t have too crazy of a load-out...
$10M for a play with no stars and simple sets and costumes? Yikes.

Long. Tedious. Arrogant show.
Not unexpected, but deeply sad. I thought this would happen and made a special trip just to see it.
The day I spent with these characters will forever be a cherished memory.

So disappointed...I had tickets to both parts on 3/29 to close out my annual NY theater trip. I guess the silver lining is that it creates two openings in my previously full schedule, which I can use to see Six and...maybe The Minutes?
Ten million dollar investment...HOW? Yikes.
Jeremy should start his campaign now, Slave Play really could win.
Was March 15 the original end date before the “extension”? Because closing so suddenly seems savage.
I predict The Lehmann Trilogy will win Best Play.

I believe the original closing date was supposed to be the week before!
Wait, this play cost $10 million?! God lord, how did they expect to recoup?
How the hell did that cost $10mil? Was the dumb rising & lowering platform really that expensive?
I’m glad I saw this. They could have cut this to three hours and courted a TV star. It must have been discussed. They chose not to. Now they need some angel to film this for Netflix (or Freeform) before it vanishes into ether.
I spoke with someone in the show a couple weeks ago and there’s no plans to film.
I could see a miniseries being produced but I don’t think the production will be filmed for distribution.
Glad I got to see both parts again on Wednesday. Writing has been on the wall for awhile, but I’m still bummed.

didnt love this but certainly think it deserved a longer run. Having sat through the plot-less and boring Girl from the North Country tonight, it makes me appreciate the intricacy and depth of Lopez's writing even more.
