That was the most unfocused version of "Waving Through a Window" I have ever seen Platt do. It looked like he was struggling making the cuts and staging changes work. Still, it's a great performer doing a great song.

Christopher Ashley's direction win is a joke. Really?
Patti & Christine just delivered the best performance of the night. It was well staged and shot. Platt was great, but I didn't love how it was shot.

Shocked about Book of a musical.

I'm still bugged that Midler didn't perform and instead we had this bland song with DHP who had less charisma than the actors from this ****ty new show Salvation...............

I've been thinking the same thing! Although another possible parallel would be a Best Director/Best Musical split . . .

Anyone who thinks like this shouldn't vote. It's utterly disrespectful to directors who put their heart and soul and months of hard work into their projects.

I cannot believe that any legitimate Tony voters vote like this.

Cover the Tony with sugar and give it to CFA? UGH

Uhh, the major award of the night would hardly be throwing a bone. I hate groupies. At least not as bad as ReNheaedz"
I am NOT a groupie, but thanks so very much for keeping the hateful attitude towards other posters alive. I respect your opinion but do not respect your shade on mine. And you are a "legend", just goes to show...

These have to be the most boring Tony Awards in the past ten years. David Hyde Pierce is a genius, but Scott Rudin choosing that number to represent HELLO DOLLY was an insult to the audience.

Looks like Blankenbuehler gets the win for Choreography...
Between this and Lacamoire winning for orchestrations, did the voters realize that HAMILTON was last year? Both men are extremely talented, but it's strange to see them both honored again when I think that GREAT COMET was more deserving in both categories.

Woo! for Jane Greenwood.
Love that Sutton gave Gavin his trophy. Thoroughly Modern Millie full circle.
Boo for the Best Costumes Musical going to Dolly and Rachel Chavkin losing. Boo for most of the Great Comet wins not getting real air time.
I agree Spacey's opening was better than I would have guessed (not amazing but better than I'd anticipated) but I'm glad he's not on stage too much.
Not really wowed by the performances aside from Leslie and Cynthia. I need them to record a duets album immediately.
I need more Rachel Bloom. I love how excited she was about seeing Patti again.

It's obvious that the voters just overall weren't fond of The Great Comet. It was robbed of Orchestrations and Score.
Thrilled that Come from Away won't be leaving empty handed.
