I feel like it had a good start but the last hour has been a dud
Needs more Kevin Spacey! I'm very impressed, he has been a great host.

Hear, hear! What a perfect role that would be for him.

Anyone who thinks like this shouldn't vote. It's utterly disrespectful to directors who put their heart and soul and months of hard work into their projects."
I cannot believe that any legitimate Tony voters vote like this.

Unfortunately, knowing a handful of Academy Award voters, it's not uncommon to vote like this, especially if there's multiple favorites up for the big prize.
Wow, this Comet performance is what a Tony performance should be! Makes me want to see the show.
I know nothing about the show, literally nothing, but Great Comet seemed to come across well on television.
Stunning how the great Comet cast could manage the passerelle just fine doing more than the Dolly cast does. Things that make you go hmmmmmm.....
Brilliantly done, Comet!!!
After seeing them, now anybody that says they "can't restage for the Tonys" (cough, Dolly) can bite me.
I'm loving this Great Comet performance. There's an energy to it that few of the other performances have had so far.

Does Anna Wintour ever take off those sunglasses? What a pretentious bitch.
That Great Comet medley was by far the best production number of the night.
The great comet number made me believe it would be easier to tour than we think.
Re: TGC Performance
Dear Scot Rudin - take notes. This is how you restage a performance for Radio City. If TGC could do it, why couldn't you bring something from Dolly? Oh yeah, a pissing contest with the Tony board.

Loved that Great Comet performance. So happy they were able to really showcase the excitement of the show in their performance.

That was an absolutely fantastic choice for the Tonys. Groban gave me chills at the beginning and the rest of it was so much fun to watch.
Dare I even ask what the show is about?
TGC performance reminded me of how much I disliked the show. It was a showcase of running around, distractions, incoherence and noise. It reminded me of my days of doing Murder Mystery Dinner theatre.

Great Comet. WOW.
Now THAT'S a Tony performance.
I wonder if Best Actress in a Musical could go the way of the Julie Andrews/Donna Murphy award back in 1996? If I recall, Donna was not expected to take the award after Julie's reaction to the nomination (or lack thereof for the rest of the cast/staff of Victor Victoria.). I wonder if Rudin's behavior may cost Bette the award....
The Great Comet performance was electric. I was convinced the roof was going fly off the place. Ahhhhh the lack of love its getting tonight saddens me.

Love that Sutton gave Gavin his trophy. Thoroughly Modern Millie full circle.
Boo for the Best Costumes Musical going to Dolly and Rachel Chavkin losing. Boo for most of the Great Comet wins not getting real air time.
I agree Spacey's opening was better than I would have guessed (not amazing but better than I'd anticipated) but I'm glad he's not on stage too much.
Not really wowed by the performances aside from Leslie and Cynthia. I need them to record a duets album immediately.
I need more Rachel Bloom. I love how excited she was about seeing Patti again.
"Who's the Rachel Bloom chick? First I'm hearing of her.

THAT'S HOW YOU DO A PERFORMANCE
FU Rudin and Dolly!
DEAR SCOTT F*CKING RUDIN--
IF GREAT COMET COULD RE-STAGE AROUND THAT F*CKING PASSARELLE, SO COULD YOUR GODDAMN HELLO DOLLY.

Agreed! Made me really want to see it. However, to my surprise, it did look/sound a little Fiddler on the Roof-ish?@
