SLIH was the best performance so far, but it’s also far and away the best number in the show. Everything else sounds vaguely like a variation on it, especially and including the opening number “What Are You Thirsty For?”

I’m getting the general sense from body language and some more nerves that the performers are having a hard time hearing themselves. It’s allllways been a complaint at Radio City by performers for years.
I don't understand why they chose this number? These pop-jukeboxy-type shows work best when they have a little irony/drama to their numbers, like when she does the slow version of "Hit Me Baby One More Time". This is a poor man's version of the Katy Perry number. Even "Confident" would have worked better.

· I liked the opening but cannot understand how Ariana DeBose gets these gigs. Very grating.
· NY NY was very well represented in that it highlighted the choreography, was otherwise incoherent, and showed Colton Ryan doing exactly what he does every night—this odd Kermit the Frog performance that I liked a lot but does nothing to help the show.
· Those little clips reminded me how good Arian Moayed was but thrilled to see Uranowitz win, the standout of a strong ensemble and delivers the heart of the piece.
· Why are they doing non-musical clips of the musical performers? What a horrible disservice to Ruthie Ann Miles especially. (Congrats Bonnie Milligan, well deserved).
· Reminded that I really enjoyed Camelot, and how beautifully done it was. I missed Donica live but I really cant understand how anyone wasn’t enamored with Soo and Burnap and how nice it was to hear this score sung so well.
· These are some beautifully articulate speeches--- Uranowitz, Milligan, and now Michael Arden giving a speech that made me yell out loud like I was at a football game. And also Miriam Silverman, beautifully spoken as if she was giving pre-written remarks at a State dinner. (I woulda given this to Katy Sullivan, but Silverman stealing the show out from under Oscar Isaac and Rachel Brosnahan was always gonna get it).
· Ive now seen what? 4 live performances from &Juliet on diff tv shows? And each time its ROUGH. I know these people are talented singers and assume it sounds better live and I don’t think it matters one bit to ticketbuyers who love those Katy Perry songs but yikes

The vibe of this performance feels very different than the actually stage show which is much more adversarial and darker. You don’t see any love between Andrew and Philipa until the very end. Just felt cold and distant the whole time.
