She will be lucky to be nominated.
Just got a ticket for June on Telecharge, but am curious as I wasn't asked for my Audience Rewards number at checkout. Does anyone know if this show is eligible for AR points?

She is a lock for a nomination. She won’t win because that award has had Jodi Comer’s name on it since they announced a transfer. I’m sure Oscar will be nominated. I think the biggest Tony shakeups now will be revival and featured actress for Miriam Silverman.
I’d see Oscar being nominated way before her. She was serviceable.

I really hope this doesn't make revival at the expense of something better, and I don't have a strong opinion about Rachel either way, but I'd honestly be fine with Miriam Silverman scoring a nom. She was very good as an incredibly unlikable character.

Unless, I saw a different production at Bam, she be lucky to be even nominated. She did a fine job at most. Specially, we Great performance this season from Audra in Ohio Murder, Chastain and Jodie Comer.
I guess I'm a bit biased, since I thought Brosnahan gave a really strong, extremely nomination-worthy performance - but even if I try to put aside my bias: let's not forget how thin this category is right now.
Laura Linney is an unknown quantity - she's a terrific actor, but we don't know what the role will look like, or whether the play will be well-received. And as for Audra: she's always great in everything she does, but Tony nominators have already shown once that they're willing to pass her up for other people if they feel like it, and Ohio State Murders wasn't well-liked (or maybe it was, by the nominators specifically, but we won't know until we know).
I'm not saying it'll definitely happen - but with a race like this, all it takes is a little wobble for one of the others, and Brosnahan is right there to take their slot.
Another possibility: both Laura Linney and Jessica Hecht are categorized as leads, AND the Thanksgiving Play actors are considered leads. Then we have 9 actors eligible, making it an automatic 5 nominees. Then Brosnahan would technically have more competition, but if she's a stronger candidate than Hecht, Finneran, and Carden, then it's a totally viable path to a nomination that wouldn't involve kicking out Audra or Linney.
I was thinking they had a category for solo performance that Jodie would qualify for. Am I mistaken?

You *might* be thinking of the retired "Best Theatrical Event", in which many of the one person shows would be nominated (Kathy Griffin, Liza at the Palace, Dame Edna, Will Ferrall, etc.) Jodie's show is will be/is considered a play, so it will be in those catagories.
I sort of assumed Rachel would be pushed to featured. Of course, she is above the title so would naturally be considered leading, but she's barely in the second act so I think an argument for featured could be made. And with that, she'd be considered a frontrunner. Echo her praise, thought she was wonderful and will also be rooting for Oscar to win.
Beware the front orchestra, unless you don't mind looking up for 3 hours:

Cooper would be considered Featured category as the Producers did not make a concession request.

I think it is going to be a tight race. Regardless of who gets the nominations the public has spoken. Piano Lesson is holding a recoupment announcement. Every investor I have spoken with said the production has recouped.
In this climate I think that speaks volumes.
Window- with an advance less than 1.2M this close out, I would safely say this show has no audience at least by ticket sales thus far.
TopDog- barely broke even the whole run. The producers of that show were floating it.
Salesman- took a priority loan just to keep the show afloat
Ohio- closed
Piano Lesson- Highest grossing revival of the season.
Dolls House- is making money, not as much as Piano Lesson but it is selling. Beyond Piano Lesson, Dolls House is the only play revival SELLING

I didn't think Broshanan made a big impression but she'll probably be nominated....Oscar Isaac did a mighty fine job though. I think most people bought tickets to see him. I think he is far more bankable than Broshanan.

Thanks for the big picture on this. I didn't realize these two were the only two that sold/are selling.

JoeW4 - regarding the subject of Tony nominations, I would definitely say that OHIO STATE MURDERS was well-liked. It got nearly unanimously positive reviews and was also a NYT Critic's Pick, reviewed by Jesse Green. While I enjoyed Brosnahan in Window, Audra's performance in OSM was superior.

There's a flashback to when
Sydney & Iris are out in the countryside. Sydney is in shown completely in his element, but obliges when Iris wants to return to the city.
Alright just got back from the first preview. I’m seeing noms for Brosnahan, Isaac, and yes Miriam Silverman who had the audience eating out of the palm of her hand. I think their performances were all stellar. Some other performances… were quite bad.
As for the play itself, Act 1 is an absolute firecracker of swirling ideas that I couldn’t get enough of. Act 2 really drops the ball.
Sidney, while extremely charismatic, is constantly swiping at his wife emotionally Despite his free thinking ideals, he has such a vision for her and gets upset when she doesn’t upkeep that. This all seemed forgotten in Act 2 and when she is exercising her independence he seems almost indifferent. The drug fueled night was an incoherent mess that lacked focus. And at the end of the play when he changes his ideals, I’m just left wondering, am I supposed to be on your side or not?

This show is not selling NEARLY as well as I had expected, and the producers are offering lots of discounted tickets. We just grabbed a few side Orchestra for this weekend at $91 a pop.
Yes, I’d say it was 80% full. Last few rows of the orch were empty. Some of the balc too.

I'm not sure why everyone is so surprised at the low tickets sales so far. They just announced this transfer a few weeks ago!
So is it a thriller or a drama?
I'm not much into talky dramas, is it at least intense?
I mean there is a lot of laughter and yelling and many emotional moments so I wouldn’t say it’s a “talky drama”… but it’s in no way a thriller. It can get a bit talky in the way that it’s very intellectual… but then the play also kind of digs into intellectualism too. I’ve heard people complain about run time, but I think knowing it’s 3 hours going in made it a lot smoother for me. While I may not have loved Act 2, it certainly wasn’t boring.
sorry this post is no help lmao
