RA YP seems like Audra Gypsy to me
Here's hoping it starts spelling "New Orleans Flavor" next.

Finally, a director! George C. Wolfe!!! That's more exciting than Audra, tbh.
At other points people on here had claimed it was Trevor Nunn and Simon Godwin.
I’m hearing there will be a big ad in the Sunday Times.
George C. Wolfe directing is VERY exciting. Seals the deal for me.
Wolfe and Brown as the Director/Choreo pairing for this is super exciting!!! Definitly seems to confirm they'll be leaning into Audra (and I'd assume June and Louise) being Black.
I’m curious to see what Camille A. Brown brings to the table. She is one of the industry’s finest choreographers at the moment.
In the swamps of New Orleans, still? Lol
Any idea who might be the lead producer behind this?
Well, nobody is credited as doing book revisions, but is the addition of “suggested by the memoir by Gypsy Rose Lee” new for this production? “Suggested by” is interesting phrasing.
Tom Kirdahy is lead producer, so I hear.
And it’s opening later this year, *not* in the spring.

it has always been "suggested by"

Robbins' credit and ho wmuch of his work will be used is of interest to me. His work is much less integral to GYPSY (a "musical staging" show at best) than his other shows, and I believe the LuPone production departed quite a bit from his work, despite the credit saying otherwise.

This is thrilling news. Nicole or Audra next year is already stressing me out. GYPSY is BACK!!

Reddit says previews start Nov 21
I really like how they originally teased the red and yellow letter. Roses and daffodils!
Best Actress in a Musical next year is going to be nuts.

Yup, site leaked and it was on there.
I’m so glad this is finally, actually happening. As much as I love Audra - and for how long I’ve lived in NY - I’m a bit embarrassed to say I’ve never seen her perform live, but this is exactly the show I’d want to be my first time experiencing that.

This just feels so right.

It does. She’s at the perfect age and at the height of her powers. Her recent shows demonstrate what we already knew: she will nail this.
Looks like my previous reply was deleted, but here is a screenshot of the leaked website

Feels right that Audra McDonald will become the most nominated performer at the Tonys doing the most important role of musical theater!

Did the site list a closing date?

You know Smash has got to be peeved that there are going to be two very similar logos in the landscape (assuming this will run into 2025 when Smash is said to come in).

Any sense of what theater this is going into?
Rumor is The Majestic but it would fare better (I think) in The Broadhurst, if that signage is any indicator.
