Saw a rumor online it's Melissa McCarthy... to be 100% clear this is not a reputable source, but daydreaming of how good she'd be."
Please, no!"
Ha! I disagree, but I also can definitely understand she's not everyone's cup of tea. I personally was hoping for Amy Sedaris, but if "emmy-winning" is factual, that would count her out.

Quinta Brunson, Jean Smart, Catherine O’Hara, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Allison Janney. Just a brief selection of options, but I’d pay good money to see any of them.
I love the idea of Amy Sedaris, Kate McKinnon, Alex Borstein, and Catherine O'Hara. I know it won't happen but I think Imelda Staunton would be surprisingly good.

Conrad just posted about hoping to be with the show for a long time like 2 weeks ago, so I'd find it odd if he's the first to go - unless it's just a break for another project similar to Cole? They'd not need a big stunt cast to cover Abe like Mary would need
Although the original cast is perfection, and Cole tailored the role for themself, the material is so strong that I think any number of really great comedic performers of any race or gender would happily step in and kill it.
"...everyone finally shut up, and the audience could enjoy the beginning of the Anatevka Pogram in peace."
I want to see as many Mary Todd Lincolns tackle this role as Broadway will allow. My Mary shortlist includes, but is not limited to, Amy Sederis, Titus Burgess, John Cameron Mitchell, Laura Benanti, Jinkx Monsoon, Jane Krakowski, Amy Poehler, Nick Kroll, Bowen Yang, Molly Shannon, Martin Short, Christian Borle, Ben DeLaCreme, Charles Busch, Melissa McCarthy, Megan Mullalley, Leslie Kritzer, Patti LuPone and Ian McKellen.

They could really keep the show running through the summer of 2025 with various short-term casting. Hopefully it happens.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

That is also what I was told, it was. She has 3 nominations for the Netflix show. She is not as big of a name as anyone has dream casted or speculated above. Also Lincoln was just cast and it is a phenomenal Broadway actor but not stunt or famous casting at all.

Apologies if this was mentioned earlier in the thread, but a fairly reliable commenter on the UK board just posted that HBO is doing a pro-shot of the OBC.
