Rent Live. Proof that you should give 100% in rehearsal because now their rehearsal IS their performance and.... it's a rehearsal. No one is pushing the belting or the higher notes, likely they were holding in the "good stuff" for tonight. Opps.

No breath control for Mimi though (forgive me I don't know the actress). Should have taken the short break before her part of the song to catch her breath after Out Tonight (which was pretty darn good)
Ok the audience is really ruining this for me. Maybe someone who was there can comment but usually for live productions, they are coached on when to cheer and applaud. I know they do that for DWTS and other live shows. They should have been told to stay silent to emulate a theater experience.
I agree that the sound mixing is awful for something that is pre-taped. My only guess is maybe they werent expecting to air the dress rehearsal?
I think live musicals should be restricted to NBC only. Maybe ABC too if they record stage versions of the Disney musicals.
Valentina, Clemons & Tinashe are terrible. Mario & Hunt are passable. Fisher, BVD & the ensemble are the only things saving this.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
Holy crap, Will I was AMAZING once the chorus came in! Where are THOSE singers and why are they not singing the leading roles in this cus their was more talent in the chorus of one song then the whole night so far.

We were instructed for a majority of the things during the commercial breaks. But I feel like they let they were pretty lenient with the cheering and stuff because it was a rehearsal? They did hype the crowd a lot, though, and encouraged the audience to interact with the actors when it was appropriate.
