The featured actor and actress in a musical should be interesting. If "The Prom" pulls upsets in these categories it could be interesting for Hadestown and Best Musical. I'm still sticking with Block, Fontana and Hadestown....but keep an eye on The Prom
This has been an incredibly boring Tony Awards.

Same here. I actually gasped.
Re: The Cher Show performance. It is the only female lead actress performance I have not seen. Based on all of the tv performances I have seen I just can't bring myself to see tbe whole show.

Did they forget Jeff Loffenholz in the In Memoriam?
Double congrats to Santino! He was incredible when I saw the show a few weeks ago
And congrats to SJB! Seeing the show next week
I think Steph deserves a Tony, but personally I don't think this is the show for it.
SJB's speech is getting on my nerves. Don't know why.

I’m so happy for Santino. Well deserved.
Also happy for Stephanie. I think her speech may have sold more tickets than the earlier performance did.
Oh Stephanie! Gorgeous! Santino looked SO handsome.

Please. She is a wonderful and generous human being. Dramatic for no reason? Maybe you should get to bed. Pretentious? LOLOLOLLLLLLLLLLLL
If you leave me, I’m going with you.

I mean, I can't complain about any of these results, but man was that unexciting.
Not a sweep, but BEST MUSICAL....
HADESTOWN!

I fear for the ratings...

Thrilled to see SJB win. A huge lift of a performance. Sure, I wish the show and book supported it better but it brought elegance and irony and integrity to the evening.

I don’t care if she is Mother Theresa. She came off phony and pretentious.
One of the most boring Tonys in recent years.
James Corden is an awful try-too-hard host.
How do we get him singing THREE songs and no creative award speeches on air?

During the in memorandum montage, they showed a young African-American gentleman and the audience applauded. I apologize as I did not catch his name.
Boring Tonys or not, I will always gladly take them. I fear the day they are no longer televised on a major network.
Thank God that’s over. Not one surprise and a snore of a show. Warren Beatty, a genuine living legend, is sitting ten feet away and they couldn’t have at least gotten him to present the last award of the night?
