To be fair none of the articles I've seen about her Peacock series list dates –– sometimes things get announced and then take months or years for all the ducks to get in a row –– but I'll assume that it would begin in the next 10 months and conflict.
If they don’t do the New Orleans thing, it’s because it all changed when they had to get a new director at the last minute and she convinced George c Wolfe to do it. They 100% had/have a new book writer who wrote a new book. They’re going to start rehearsing the show on Monday. Curious to hear what they do with these additional weeks of work.

Start building your case early, my dove. Proactive. I like it.

Seeing and enjoying Broadway shows has nothing to do with any discourse on this site. I can see and enjoy Broadway shows, but also think some people on here are idiots.
Since Jordan Tyson is leaving Notebook early October 6..........could she be playing June in Gypsy as that would be 6 weeks of rehearsal before previews start? I was hoping Joy Woods as Louise but I don't think that's gonna happen?

Sunday in the Park with George
How is this selling? We've been debating tickets but haven't heard much buzz other than McDonald's involvement. Now that Wolfe is returning we pray his splats with movies have not influenced his theatrical direction.
How hot is the ticket for those who follow the box office?
I’ve taken a look and there is some demand especially considering how far out. I predict that all early performances will be sold out or close to sold out and whether or not the show succeed will depend on word of mouth.
"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022)
"Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009)
"Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000

Based on casting calls, it’s definitely a color conscious production. They’re looking for a biracial actress to play Baby and Dainty June, a Black actress to play Louise, and a white actor to play Herbie. And Rose’s standby/understudies will presumably be Black as well.
My favorite detail in the casting breakdown is that the newsboys in Baby June’s act are black, but the boys in Dainty June’s act are white. So rose has gone from playing a black act, to black audiences, to playing a white-passing act for white audiences, moving closer to stardom. It’s a great idea.
Isn't today the first rehearsal? We should be getting a full cast announcement soon, if not today.

According to the casting breakdowns, first day of rehearsal is September 30th. 🤷🏻♂️"
Yes but according to one poster on here (who has never ever been wrong about anything), the first rehearsal is today so obviously that supersedes the casting notice!
I heard elsewhere today was the first table read, but I guess that was incorrect.
