You just vomited out a big fat load of lies. They simply do not want to be associated in any way with the Trump administration and anyone with two connected brain cells would easily understand why."
Honey, do you even know how to read?? It is a quote from Richard Grenell. NOT what I said. Now delete your bs statement and apologize. You are one of the people who make it miserable here and why I don’t comment often and following this post will not be compelled to comment again. "
Calm down queen. You posted what you posted how you posted it."
It never ceases to amaze me how STUPID you are.

I have tickets to Parade at KC (bought them ages ago before any of this happened) and if they do go forward I'll have a bit of a dilemma.

"It's your fault I was wrong!"
Rich Grenell complaining about programming not making money like that’s how non-profits are supposed to work. You offset the costs with donations and funding from outside sources.

This morning the Kennedy Center's Ministry of Propaganda and Public Enlightenment (f/k/a the Goebbels position) put out a "complete" list of shows and events that were cancelled --- but somehow they conveniently left off FINN?

Responding to Call_me_jorge.... I hope so, re: the National. It is so much better for Broadway shows than the Kennedy Center.
Whether people who don't go up to NYC realize that, I don't know. But it's cringeworthy for me. So much so that I once wrote to the WaPo's former theater critic and was thrilled to find that he was in complete agreement with my assessment. I haven't been back to the KC since then.
I'm bitterly unhappy, you might say enraged, by the Dictator 101 move to control the arts. And while I wish it weren't the reason, I'd love to see more Broadway road shows and preview runs in the downtown theaters.

Bentley, please don't stop posting here. Anyone with two connected brain cells understands exactly what you meant and appreciates your contribution. The only things that user does here is harass people with different opinions and ask if there's an intermission to everything. And if there's not an intermission he probably screams at the box office employee and cancels the tickets and comes back here to tell us he canceled his tickets. He is the worst of us. Only truly miserable and insecure people can't simply admit they're wrong and move on.
Keep posting, you are actually valued here ❤️

IMO, going to the KC at this point says you either condone or don’t care about the fascist seizure. No performance is worth that. I used to go 3 to 4 times a month and simply stopped cold turkey.

I wish I had the hope that it would only last four years.

These Words Are Disappearing in the New Trump Administration

This is insane….
“We can have a fashion show with Valentino, the top designer in the world, in honor of Jacqueline Kennedy. That would be very glamorous. You can seat a couple thousand people for a gala, who pay $200 a ticket, and people will go, and the center will make money.
“We can franchise the Kennedy Center’s name in Europe and Asia and the Middle East, like the Louvre does in Abu Dhabi. That would be lucrative.
“You can build a marina. I’m convinced it would be terrific. The Kennedy Center is very difficult to access. You put in a little marina, and on the weekend you go there — the yachts park there. You go to a beautiful restaurant. It will be a beautiful experience.” – Kennedy Center board member Paolo Zampolli, speaking to the New York Times

Is it too late at this point for any current Broadway tour slated to play The Kennedy Center this season to back out of their engagement? I mean, I know Hamilton did. But, they weren’t scheduled to play there till next season.

IATSE leans VERY far to the right, and they gave #47 a lot of votes. Actions have consequences. Sending thoughts and prayers for their lost jobs.

I am a member of IATSE in California and while we have our share of MAGAts, our particular union would definitely be more left. The communication from IATSE is also very left during election season.
I’m saying you’re wrong, but it’s a bummer that people who can use the security that their union provides to make a very well paid living also back a party movement that is anti-union.

Oh, they do, do they, JSquared2? In BOLD CAPS, no less. Got anything to back that up, other than maybe some anecdotal evidence? Don't even bother to respond unless you have something solid
Here's what the leadership of IATSE said to its members in all 50 states:
IATSE General Executive Board Endorses Kamala Harris for President of the United States

Even the MAGAts within IATSE are Union first, Copeman63. They might be crazy, but they are not stupid enough to vote against their own best interests. Whatever else they might agree with #47 on, they'll never forget that he crossed an IATSE picket line in 2004,
