Lauren Lew was one of those mentioned in Ruthie Ann's Tony acceptance speech. This just gets more heartbreaking

This is so horrible, I cannot imagine. I have no words.
I pray that there is a special place in heaven for those 2 beautiful children.
I pray for strength to the injured and to their families and friends.
My heart feels broken.

Oh my heart .... those poor little babies... so sad. Sending light and love to the families - I can't imagine their grief.

This is really the worst possible tragedy. So unfair and so sad. I really hope the police rethink their lax treatment of the driver. Medical condition my ass; she had a history of running reds and speeding.
JBroadway "Another (obviously WAY less significant) outcome of this is that it's highly unlikely that she will return to Lady Thiang in London as originally planned, which is a shame for all involved, as UK audiences would have been in for a real treat. "
The Olivier noms came out today too. She would have gotten one for sure. God I hope she makes a full recovery.
A newer report from NY1 says that charges are pending against the driver.

I hope the driver is punished to the fullest extent of the law.
My thoughts are with the families. I don't know Ruthie Ann well but have encountered her several times in a professional capacity. She has always struck me as a warm and generous person. To have to endure something so horrible, and be fighting for your life and the life of your unborn child, is unfathomable. All blessings to her and Lauren Lew and their spouses.
I had to hold back tears as I was reading this horrific story on the train en route to work this morning. God bless Ruthie Ann and Lauren Lew, their families and those two precious angels who robbed of their lives due to one person's senseless act of negligence.

This news is absolutely devastating. I can't even begin to imagine the grief the surviving victims are going through right now.
So sad. Truly tragic.

I hope that's true. If there is a medical condition that she knew about, she should never have been behind the wheel to begin with. Period. That is if it's true at all.
Words cannot express the sadness I feel for both those families.
This is horrifying. I feel so devestated for Ruthie, her family, and anyone else who was affected.
Last week, a family member of mine was also involved in a car accident. She did not survive. I don’t understand how these pointless tragedies keep happening. It’s just hard to fathom.

Incredibly sad. Just two weeks ago, my wife and I woke up on a Saturday and decided to take a flight that afternoon to see Chess and visit the Smithsonian. What seemed crazy then doesn't anymore.
Its now a “moment” on twitter. The pictures of the crime scene are heart wrenching.
An update from Ruthie's GoFundMe page: "Ruthie is no longer in critical condition, and is on the road to physical recovery. Also, thankfully, her unborn child is unharmed."

I let out of a sigh of relief when I got that email. A glimmer of good news in otherwise unspeakable tragedy.
Praise God
Thank God her baby is okay. The one bit of good news in this nightmare of a tragedy.
Thank goodness that she and her unborn baby are okay. How heartbreaking that she and her friend lost their other children.

Your timing needs work.
Guys, seriously, come on. This is really not the thread to be having a religious debate. Focus on Ruthie and her family.
A portion of proceeds from Session Girls (tonight at 54 Below) will be going to both families:

Glad to hear Ruthie is doing better. Any updates on her friend?
I don't believe her friend (Lauren) was physically hurt.
