Are so positive for ACL, Gallgher, and SA?

Ok.......

I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

Spell7107- I find it interesting that you know for a fact SA and ACL will win, yet you don't know much about the other shows. Impressive.

dramaqueen2 -- can they say "bitch" on national TV?

Well, they do on every TV show and even morning TV (I've heard it a few times on LIVE with Regis & Kelly).

You can pretty much say ANYTHING on national TV nowadays -- I've heard 'tits', 'bitch', 'dickhead', 'dildo', 'balls', and the list goes on and on.

Here is what I hope is nominated and what I think they will perform:

LEGALLY BLONDE: Ohmigod, You Guys
CURTAINS: It's a Business
SPRING AWAKENING: The Bitch of Living
GREY GARDENS: The Five Fifteen

A CHORUS LINE: One
LES MISERABLES: One Day More
COMPANY: Side by Side by Side/ What Would We Do Without You?
THE APPLE TREE: no song...it's closed

ACL opened the 1976 Tonys with a version of "I Hope I Get It" that was specially restaged for television (by Bennett himself) that was simply spectacular -- one the best Tony numbers ever. They should repeat that.

I was just going to say that, Margo. That was amazing.

I hope SA does Don't Do Sadness and either Touch Me, My Junk, or Mama Who Bore Me.

One time, Patti LuPone punched me in the face...

It was awesome.

That number was really awesome Margo (and for anyone who wants to see it, go to the forbiddens site and type A Chorus line TONYS).

They will showcase the numbers that will sell the most tickets.

I think Spring Awakening should do Touch Me and The Song of Purple Summer. They're both great ensemble numbers. I think the transition would be kind of awkward thought. It would be good if they did Bitch Of Living instead of one of the songs I listed above.

One of the best and most underrated songs in SA is Mama Who Bore Me Reprise. They should do the reprise.

The reprise is a little over one minute long! It's way too short.

There's no reason they can't do a medley with another song, though.

Well with curtains, spring awakening, and grey gardens taking up 3 of the spots, there's only one spot left and Lovemusik looks promising.

Agreed. If Lovemusik turns out as fabulous as it sounds, it wll get the fourth nom. If not, it's Legally Blonde.

okay, so with LoveMusik, I've only heard three things: Cerveris, Murphy, (they are in it) and Weill (the man's music and life)...what else has been heard?

I feel like Legally Blonde would go with "So Much Better" or even "Legally Blonde Remix" (since I doubt anyone would consider that a spoiler) over "Omigod You Guys".

i had the privilege this weekend of having dinner with COMPANY's assistant director, his wife, and child this weekend, and i asked what number COMPANY would perform for the Tonys if nominated
he said if they are indeed nominated, theyll perform "Being Alive", and that they wont attempt another medley like last year's SWEENEY TODD

just wanted you all to know that...

As much as I love "Being Alive," it's not the same thrilling song unless you experience it in context of the show. I'd rather see them do the opening number. It's not the showstopper that features Raúl, but it does feature him as well as the entire cast.

That would be really interesting if Company did 'Being Alive'. Odds are good that every other show with be doing the big, uptempo numbers, so Company will have a better chance of standing out to viewers.
